Desktop App not Launching after available Device list changed

I connected a USB souncard, opened the desktop app, went into settings and wanted to set it to use the USB soundcard instead of the internal, however the usb soundcard wasnt listed even after refreshing. Closed the app and tried to launch it again, but it wouldn't open again. Task Manager showed *more* than four Voice.ai tasks (Four is normal when idle, right?). Rebooting Windows fixed this.
