No voice was detected doing recordings or live despite my microphone working perfectly in all other apps

My microphone is a Shure MV7 connected to a focusrite 2i2 sound interface, I use it for streaming daily, and also use it for music production, it works perfectly. Voice.ai app however never seems to be able to hear anything coming from the mic, either in live or record mode. I can see that Voice.ai is connected and using my mic in Windows settings just like all my other apps that use mic. Something definitely a miss here, no idea what though because Voice.ai is the only piece of software that doesn't seem to work. (I'm on Windows 11)
