Taking over a week to build a voice
Is it normal for a voice to take over a week to build and could it be related to the file size used to build the voice? If I shorten the file size will it build faster?
Most file lengths I'm using are around 10 hours mp3 @ 128kbps

Hi Rich,
I don't know how long it should take and I am searching for my own answer here. I have two questions for you: 1. when you say that most of your file lengths are 10 hours long---do you mean what it sounds like...that you have put in a file that is longer than 10 hours or multiples?
If such is the case, then I can't imagine how long it will take if they recommend that you put in 15 minutes. So, if in fact, you have put in some files that large then I would imagine any amount of time is possible.
But here is my question: I put in a file, and it says that it is building---mine was 18 minutes long----and it says that I am number 240 in the line. Hey that does not seem unreasonable, but I was wondering if I shouldn't see a sort of countdown of sorts as to how many are in front of me.
By the way----I hope this provides some insight. I have examined many other posts and I have yet to see anyone answer a question; that, or I am not seeing things right. Oh well----all the best.

Hi Damien,
I seem to have varying success here. Some voices build quickly with single file lengths while others don't and just seem to get stuck in the queue. I'm experimenting now by chopping the files up and seeing if it goes any quicker. I put in longer files as I've seen another post on here from a moderator saying the more data the better but nobody has ever said anything about what is enough to get a decent sounding voice and what is overkill...
I'll post here with results 👍

Rich,
Thanks so much. So, it has actually produced something for you? At this point I haven't seen anything happen. I have been looking at below for probably 20 minutes and I put in a file that was 18 minutes long. Shouldn't I see a countdown?

Yeah, I have several uploads already built and they're generally very good. Just sometimes it can stick in the queue. If you refresh the page it might count down?

Hi Rich,
It came through. I am not impressed. On those you consider generally good---how much time did you put in and is there a certain method you have uised as far as number of files, etc?

Looks like you do have to chop the files into smaller parts for it to work. I've chopped it up into 2hr chunks for about 10 hours worth in total and it seems to work. 🤞

Wow. And here the guy I saw on YouTube said 15 minutes is suggested. I put in one file. It was 18 minutes long. No wonder I wasn't pleased.

Did you get a subscription

Yeah, I have a subscription and its better for work flow as you're not restricted to 15 seconds recording.
