playback in messenger

I'm not sure whether i am just misunderstanding this or not, but what I am trying to test is the ability to record a voice clip in Facebook Messenger and then send it to the other person. When they play it back it is just silent, so it's not my original voice, nor is it the AI voice.

Is this a wrong setting? Or is Voice AI not capable of doing this? Thanks! I have set the microphone to virtual cable
