Sound plays through my system speakers but not my headphones

After the update I can no longer hear any sound output through my headphones, but it still plays through my laptop speakers. I have tinkered with every audio system available on both my system and the app, but nothing changes it. It still picks up mic input from the headphones, but I still can't hear anything through them. Please fix
