If your microphone isn't showing up or working with the app, here's how to get it recognized:
- Plug It In: Make sure your microphone is securely plugged into the correct port.
- No Mute (Physical): Check for any physical mute buttons or switches on your microphone and make sure they're off.
- Restart PC: A quick computer restart can often fix minor glitches.
- Sound Settings (Windows): Right-click the speaker icon on your taskbar and go to "Sound settings." Under "Input," select your microphone.
- Microphone Privacy (Windows): Go to Settings > Privacy & Security> Microphone. Enable access for both the device and apps.
- Update Drivers (Device Manager): Find your microphone/audio device, right-click, and select "Update driver."
- Test on Another PC: Try your microphone on another computer to check if the mic itself is faulty.
Important Note on Mic Compatibility:
Some microphones (e.g., certain condensers, webcam mics, or those needing external preamps) may provide a signal too weak for AI apps like ours, even if they work with traditional audio programs. Using a compatible microphone will lead to better performance with our app.
